Saint Mary’s Waterfall in Saint Mary’s Wilderness, Va. This was taken just after a high rainfall event during peak wildflower season with mountain laurels and rhododendron lining the canyon valley.
A lesser-known location in the Davis, WV are is Big Run falls. Slightly off the beaten path, this isolated location is truly serene and peaceful in the fall.

During an historic Geomagnetic Storm, the Northern lights were visible in Virginia along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This photo captures the incredible moment vibrant colors light up the famous Raven’s Roost overlook in the Blue Ridge Parkway that overlooks Waynesboro, VA. While Raven’s Roost overlook photos are a dime a dozen, I believe this frame is truly unique, and stands alone in its category.

A classic location. If there’s one location that demands revisiting year after year, that location is the Glade Creek Grist Mill. Located in Babcock State Park, WV just south of the New River Gorge, this is a world-renowned location for photography. This photo features it draped in vibrant fall colors illuminated by the early morning light. Glade Creek Grist Mill is the only remaining Grist Mill in West Virginia, making it a truly unique location regionally, and nationwide.
